However all plans are different and verification of coverage may be confusing.

Does Acupuncture any side effects?
Acupuncture has no side effect. Any that do occur are mild and self-correcting. Occasionally there may be minor bruising at the needle point or a short-term flare-up of your symptoms as your qi clears and resettles.
I'm afraid of needles. Can I still have acupunture?
Yes. Certain styles use needles that do not break the skin or are inserted extremely lightly.
Acupuncture needles are very much finer than the needles used for injections and blood tests.
With Dr. Zhang's gentle acupuncture technique speciality, you may not even feel the acupuncture needle and once in place they are hardly noticeable.
Usually you will just feel a sensation like a mosquito bite as the needle is inserted.
Ninety-five percent of the time, patients feel no pain. However, with chronic illnesses and
first-time patients, there may be a tingling or heat sensation as muscles relax and circulation and nerve function are restored.
Acupuncture needle is very thin, less than the size of a pore.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on your individual condition. At first Dr. Zhang will normally ask to see you once or twice a week.
You may start to feel benefits after the first or second treatment although long-standing and chronic conditions
usually need more time to improve. Once your health has stabilized you may need top-up treatments every few weeks.
Traditional acupuncture is also very effective when used as preventive healthcare and many people like to go for
a 'retuning' session at the change of each season throughout the year.
Why cosmetic acupuncture works?
Alternative medicine and especially traditional Chinese medicine becomes more and more popular
around the globe. And today I'm going to share with you acupuncture as a soft but efficient skin-care
services you can use yourself.
We all become aged. And for most of us this sign of the time that pass appears directly and without
discretion on our face. The sun, the pollution, the air, the stress and all sorts of aggressive conditions
attack our skin and our face. Wrinkles show up. You may have already tried some skin-care creams and products
but in the long run, you think that cosmetic surgery with a lift of your face can be a good solution. Why not?
But many people are afraid of such a solution because it's invasive or because it's really too expensive or
because of possible side effects. If you have time and need some small fixing on your face then acupuncture
can be your best tool for anti-ageing.
Of course, surgery and acupuncture are not the same. In fact, the philosophy behind each of these two techniques
is different. One is the hard way of having everything now and quick and the second more from an Asian perspective
is holistic. It's a massage-oriented alternative to having any kind of surgery on your face.
The principle is quite easy: you apply pressure to specific points of your body. This procedure activates the flow
of blood and energy to this entire area and to corresponding others parts of your body. acupuncture is working
without a doubt and as been tested for thousands and thousands of years.
On your face, you have to apply light pressure. Those pressures give to the face a sensation of relaxation and
a more youthful look. The other benefit is to activate the lymph system of this area. Another interesting stimulation
is the collagen. This molecule helps you look more youthful because the cosmetic acupuncture regenerate faster this substance.
Acupuncture is really good to help you stay younger.

I feel much better physically and mentally
I have known Dr. Zhang for a number of years and she is an excellent professional for medical treatment. Currently Dr. Zhang is treating me for various back and leg pain due to a previous auto accident. At her office she reviews all of my medical history to see what may be causing my problems and then she provides a full summary for a medical treatment and solution. This treatment includes physical therapy for my neck, shoulders and back spine area. After these treatments I feel much better physically and mentally. She has also provided me with a specific food diet and other recommendations that have helped me improve. Dr. Zhang is very caring to me as a patient and I highly recommend her to any other patient.

I immediately started seeing results
I delightly enjoyed my first cosmetic acupucture session with Dr. Zhang. Through the microcurrent acupuncture session, I noticed my eyes lifted and fine lines fade away. And my skin felt tightened. I have to say it is
an incredibile feeling to rejuvenate and see the results immediately. Dr. Zhang is so knowledgable, she also introduced me some herb tea with ZangHongHua, the secret of why Tibet people skin looks spotless even under strong sunlight everyday.
I found my happy place!
I got my sensation back
Since I started my treatment with Dr. Zhang, I have noticed a significant immprovement on my legs and back. Before I had no feeling when I'd step or put any pressure on my feet. Now the swelling has gone down a lot and my feet have sensations once again!
